Eating dietary cholesterol (like egg yolks or shellfish) is the primary driver of high blood LDL cholesterol levels in most people.
Replacing saturated fats (like butter or coconut oil) with polyunsaturated fats (like walnuts, flaxseeds, fish oil) actively increases LDL receptor activity in the liver helping to lower your bad cholesterol.
